If working on the patio wasn't exciting enough for you, then you're going to be thrilled to read about today's events. Things started off with a bang (more work on the patio for dad, trailer packing for Remy and mom), and then ramped up to extreme around lunchtime when we got into the car for MORE DRIVING!!!
Today's driving was actually somewhat exciting as we had high wind blowing the trailer all over the road. Maria took a turn at the wheel while dad handled some Microsoft business in the car. PSA to all of our readers, trying to listen to a meeting and watch video while sitting in the back of a truck is not advisable. Nausea is an occasional occurrence during meetings, depending on the content, but it usually subsides much faster than this instance.
We made it to our campground without any issues other than consuming a very large amount of fuel. We ended up arriving within five minutes of our camping compatriots, despite vastly different starting locations and start times.
Our first night was in separate camp sites, and ours happened to be the runt of the campground. Much fuss was had trying to get the trailer into our campsite, and we ended up with a very uneven setup. Eventually we were situated and able to go to the nearest lookout to see sunset. It is very cold in Bryce Canyon, and the wind is bone chilling. Luckily we brought many, many jackets for everyone. The view gave us a preview of our hike tomorrow, and many deep knee bends were done in preparation for the hike down into the canyon.
