R&R in Utah - Day 8

We camped on the lakeside with an excellent view of the surrounding landscape. the lake level is so low that it was still a five minute walk down to the water. All of the camping here is in the sand and is first come first serve. We got a great spot on the trailer friendly section of the beach so we didn't have any issues with pulling and parking our campers.

Dean, Regan, and I all went for a swim. I was in desperate need a washing and did my best with our biodegradable dish soap The lake was chilly but pleasant, especially with the temperature outside being in the mid 70s. This was a big change from 50 degree highs in Bryce.

While prepping dinner a man approached and asked if we could help him get his vehicle unstuck. All of the roads around the lake are a combination of sand and gravel, but some are more treacherous than others. This gentleman had taken a wrong turn and dug himself into the sand. Dean procured a tow strap and we helped to dislodge his vehicle and return it to safer trails. Our good deed for the day!

After the rescue we cooked up some hamburgers on the griddle and sat in our camp chairs while the sun went down. This wasn't really a feasible activity in Bryce due to the freezing evening temperatures
