We took things easy on Monday after our long excursion to Los Cerritos the previous day. Mom went to the fruit stand to get some fresh fruit (watermelons!) and we had our first home cooked dinner.
On our evening beach walk we found a man o' war jellyfish, which isn't actually a jellyfish. We weren't quite sure what it was, so we didn't touch it.
On Tuesday Remy and Mom went into town to explore while Dad was at work. They found lots of little shops that we hadn't seen on our previous visits to town, likely due to being there primarily in the evening. They found a bakery with lots of breads and pastries, a fresh squeezed juice and smoothie stand, and several good spots for art. Remy was so well liked by the shop keepers that he ended up getting a free wooden truck and a free turtle key chain. We are going to have to start sending him into the coffee shops ahead of us to see if he comes out with free coffee.
For dinner went to Oystera. If you couldn't tell from the name, Oystera is an oyster and seafood bar in a very ornate building at the edge of the downtown area.
