Bookin' down to Baja 7 - Loreto Bay

Our arrival in Loreto was met with more hot weather, which created the perfect opportunity to spend some time in the pool! But first, coffee.

While walking back from dinner on our first night, we decided to stop by our favorite coffee/breakfast spot in Loreto Bay to figure out when they opened. Dad mentioned not seeing any signs on the way over, but that was chalked up to his usual unobservant-ness.  Lo and behold, the building where our favorite spot used to be was empty. Disaster! A true breakfast and caffeine crisis of epic propotion. After some quick thinking we headed to the mini mart to pick up some breakfast essentials. While paying for our items we mentioned our dismany and the clerk let us know they had just moved across the street. Salvation! Dad made a quick jog down the road to confirm.

The next morning we were first in line for coffee, breakfast, pastries, and smoothies. All exceptional as usual. We spent the rest of the day playing in the pool. Some games included coffee shop (Remy made drinks for just about everyone at the pool), polar bears, and an octopus/crab game that no one quite figured out. We took our nap break around noon and then went straight back to it. It is hard to choose other activities when the pool is 5 seconds away and it is hot hot hot outside.

We did an evening walk with Louie before dinner at Azul, a moderately fancy Mediterranean restaurant in Loreto Bay. We always like to eat here at least once when we are in Loreto.

The next day was much the same with lots and lots of pool time. We had dinner at the french bistro, cleverly named "Le Bistro." Remy ate what might have been a world record quantity of bread. Mom and dad might have ordered a world record quantity of food for two people. The plate descriptions on the menu indicated small servings. They weren't. Remy is also a fan of whip cream.  He wanted a box to take the leftovers back home .

In the morning we packed up said goodbye to our pool, and headed south once again for our finalong drive if the next few months.
