Remy has been learning about celebrations from all over the world, and we think he has got them confused a bit. During a video call with Grandma and Grandpa Simons he wished everyone "Feliz Ramadan." Ramadan is close enough to Navidad (Spanish for Christmas).
Planning meals, if you are going out to eat, is a little more challenging around the holidays because some restaurants are closed, while others change their hours. Luckily Mom is a master planner and we had reservations aplenty. For Christmas Eve breakfast we went to Oystera for brunch. Remy had a wonderful time doing his best Dad imitation.
We managed to find time in our very busy holiday schedule to go to the beach. We took our three dogs with us.
Here is a rare photo of Louie attempting something athletic. It sort of worked.

For Christmas Eve dinner we cooked at home. We think this might have been the first time we actually set out a cooked meal for ourselves, as opposed to just throwing together quesadillas. We had steaks, some wine, and a bit of nice cheese from the fancy things store right next to 5 Tacos. We actually weren't aware that this store existed previously, which is probably good for our wallets. We thought that our steaks were beef, but upon cooking we discovered that they actually appeared to be pork. We were very confused but they turned out tasty anyway. We had pastries for dessert. Remy enjoyed them.
We got up on Christmas and opened presents. Question: Can you tell which present Dad wrapped? Hint: it is the one with duct tape.
Answer: This one.
In Dad's defense, he was trying to reuse old wrapping paper and he was interrupted several times during the wrapping process.
After presents we headed to Doce Cuarenta for Christmas day coffee. We may have ordered too many things. I think theme for today's breakfast was sweet things. Remy put extra jam on his biscuit to keep with the theme.
Biscuits are yummy.
For Christmas day dinner went to the Green Room to watch the sunset. Our waiter looked to be a bit young.
He had a nice smile though.
He sat down for a bit to tell us about his life in Mexico.
We even let him play with our trucks.
He told us that he is working on his modeling career.
