Roadtrip Remy Rides Again! pt. 1

Onward to adventure! We left Friday morning and headed to the wild, wild land of the Issaquah Costco parking lot to return our recalled paddle board. When we arrived we chickened out and couldn't muster the courage to attempt the Costco parking lot. We parked across the street at PCC instead.

After returning the paddle board we headed on to adventure number two, the North Bend outlet mall, to get new running shoes for Dad. After slogging through jungle muck, dodging alligators, and swinging from vine to vine, we were able to grab the long sought after running shoes and drive the final 15 minutes to Dean and Kelly's house.

We spent the evening relaxing on the porch while the kids played in the yard. The big highlight of the night was a selection of four different steaks provided by Mom and cooked by Dean. We had a New York strip, a ribeye, a tenderloin, and a merlot (which no one had ever heard of before. We surmised they gave the cow a glass of Merlot every night). Dean, Mom, and Dad preferred the tenderloin, and Kelly like the New York best. All of the steaks were exceptional and we all ate too much meat (if there is such a thing).

The Zimmermanns had a flight to catch Saturday morning so they left early while we packed up. After a quick breakfast we hit the road. From North Bend we had a complicated route to navigate that involved getting on I90 and then staying on I90 for 8 hours. Luckily we have GPS on our phones.

Our first non-friend's house camp site is a hip camp in Missoula. The owners have a very large farm with 10ish sites situated on one end of the property. After some expert backing up instructions from Mom and some expert backing up by Dad we had a quick dinner of cold pasta and veggies (no hookups!). We also had some breakfast sausage that we purchased from the property owners. They were delicious.
