Road Trip Remy Rides Again pt. 26

We got as early a start as leisurely possible, and hit the road toward Las Vegas. Our drive took us back and forth between Utah and Arizona for a few miles and the clock in the truck and on our phones shifted back and forth maddeningly. We gained and lost the 10 and 11 O'Clock hour so many times that we have no idea where we left it.

We arrived at our planned stop for the afternoon/night feeling pretty good, so we decided to try and press on to our eventual destination in San Luis Obispo. While driving we made the unfortunate discovery that there aren't very many places to park the  trailer without a reservation. We did a quick pivot and stopped in Bakersfield after covering a little more than half of our planned next day's drive.

We had a nice breakfast in the trailer and then saddled up for the final two hours before landing in San Luis Obispo. We got into town, grabbed groceries, and headed to our hip camp. Our SLO spot is just a few minutes outside of town, a few minutes from Chris and Linnea's, and about 15 minutes from the beach. On top of all that it is nestled in the middle of some farm land so it feels much more isolated than it is.

We set up and trailer, had a bit of lunch, and headed to the dog beach. Emma and Roz got some good running in but there were a lot of dogs around and it was getting a bit crowded so we drove to Pismo beach for a walk. We walked for about two hours un the very pleasant California sun (probably low 70s), and then went back to our trailer for pasta, stories, and bed time.
