Road Trip Remy Rides Again pt. 21

We had a relatively late night on Monday so we decided that an easy day around the campground  would be best. Dad headed to the club house for work (they have the best wifis) while Mom and Remy did some Lego work after Mom's morning meetings. When the work day was finished we headed downtown. We parked in a lot near the river and did a quick walk along the railroad tracks. We passed by a derelict factory and there was much speculation as to what it was used for. After our walk we went to the Boathouse Cantina for dinner. Mom had some excellent trout and Dad had a very good elk burger. Remy decided to try something new and had chicken fingers. He is basically 85% chicken finger at this point.

On Wednesday morning Mom and Remy went into town for some breakfast and exploring. After work we all hopped in the truck and headed to the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. We've now been to several different hot springs but this one takes the cake for ambiance. Some of the pools were closed, but the infinity pool had a gorgeous view of the mountains. This definitely felt like you were in a high mountain retreat somewhere terribly remote. Remy wanted to play a game where he was King and his only decree was that we blow on him to cool him down. There are worse monarchies. After soaking im the infinity pool for a bit we went down to the river where they have a set of stepped hot spring pools where the hot water comes up from the ground and out under the wall. This water mixes with the river water and you can control the temperature by adjusting the rocks to let more river water in. This was a much more secluded section of the resort and offered a very different kind of soaking experience. Mom and Dad loved it (Dad especially loved hopping into the icy river and then back into the pools). The King was indifferent.
