Road Trip Remy Rides Again pt. 24

The Durango RV park had serviceable wifi speeds but the connection was less than stable so Mom and Dad had to seek alternative options for working. Dad settled on the Durango public library. The library had a nice sitting area at the entrance, before the actual library, and also had a cafe. There were several other folks working or having small meetings so taking calls was not a problem. About the only issue with working at the library was that the afternoon sun came in exceptionally hot through the large windows. Moving seats didn't help with avoiding it.

Mom and Remy went to the Durango science museum after morning meetings and Remy had a blast going through all of the exhibits. The museum was built in an old power plant, which only added to the intrigue. After the science museum they stopped at the local honey factory for some treats, and then headed back to hang out with the dogs for a bit. In the afternoon Remy and Mom visited the Durango rec center to check out the pool. It seems that just about every town in Colorado has an awesome indoor pool.

After work on Monday we went out for sushi. It was fine, but nothing extraordinary. Remy did mix things up a bit by ordering butter noodles and tempura chicken. Normally he just gets chicken.

On Tuesday it was back to the library for Dad. Remy and Mom stopped by the donut shop and picked up some treats for the next few days. Remy did not eat this whole thing (we still haven't finished it three days later).

Mom managed to make things work for work back at the trailer, and Remy spent a good portion of the afternoon playing "squirrels."

After work we headed back to the pool so everyone could get some exercise. Mom went down the big water slide and Remy probably did about 100 runs down the slides in the kids area. Two of the pools that we've been to now have had an area with a current, which is something that Dad has never encountered before. These areas are really fun for practicing floats.

For dinner we went to Carver Brewing down town. Dinner was fine, although everyone is getting a little tired of eating out. Not having to do dishes is a plus. Dad had lots of good things to say about their root beer. Remy had chicken fingers. If there is a record for the number of chicken fingers eaten in two months he must be approaching it. We've now had just about every possible chicken finger, including heavily battered, lightly battered, tempura-ed, microwaved, baked, etc., etc., etc.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to Durango and head West!
