Road Trip Remy Rides Again pt. 25

We rolled out of Durango and ventured West toward Kanab, Utah. We arrived at Dark Sky RV park in the late afternoon and took it easy with a quick trip to the dog park and then dinner in the trailer. We had a very nice sunset and afterwards Remy invented a new game called "Spelunking." This game involves stuffing himself into a crevice created when the table is converted into a bed. He brought his homemade Kiwi Box lantern to provide illumination for him and his stuffies.
On Thursday morning mom ended up with some unexpected work to do, so Dad and Remy explored the campground. We sat in the rental jeep, and also explored the Dig Pit where there were lots of buried bones, plastic dinosaurs, and assorted treasure. Remy found a Blue Star which granted him a free ice cream bar from the camp store.
Mom wrapped up her work and we packed in the car to head toward the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. We had stopped here previously on our Utah trip, but this time we decided to hike instead of playing in the sand. The weather was perfect (not too hot) and we enjoyed a few hours of hiking up and down the dunes. Remy and Dad wore shorts, and their sunscreened legs picked up enough sand to fill a sand box. Roz and Emma also got a bit of sand running in, which is just about their favorite thing to do.
After our adventure we headed back to camp to cook dinner. Dad made steaks outside and two people in the span of five minutes stopped by to ask about our trailer and how highly we thought of it. We gave it glowing reviews and raved about the four season-ability. The steaks turned out excellent as well!
