Remy Reside en Baja pt. 3

There are a lot of good breakfast options in Todos Santos so we decided to skip Docecuarenta today and went to Jazamango cafe instead. Jazamango is downtown, and you enter through an art gallery. If you didn't know it was there you could easily walk by without noticing it. Even their signage is minimal.

We couldn't quite decide what to get, so we got a few extra plates to make sure we tried everything. Mom and Dad both got more traditional dishes, and Remy went for his first love, pancakes. Mom and Dad also decided to split an order of French toast. We've never seen French toast served in log form before.

After breakfast we headed south a few miles to hang out at Cerritos beach. Cerritos has great sand for sand castle building and has much calmer water for swimming and wading. We played in the sand for most of the morning but had to head home in the early afternoon so that certain members of our party could catch up on sleep. I won't name names but their initials are R. Simons.
Post siesta we were feeling refreshed and headed out to the trail down to the beach. This is the same trail that we used everyday the very first time we came to todos Santos.
We walked along the beach for a while and eventually bumped into a large crowd of people. We weren't quite sure what was happening, Dad guessed a wedding, but the lack of fancy clothes quickly invalidated that theory. It turned out to be a turtle release. We watched all the babies make the very stressful trek down to the water. When the waves come in they look like they are going to carry the hatchlings out to sea, but more often than not they just end up getting tumbled and pushed back up the beach. Being a baby turtle is not easy.
