Having spent the entire day in the sun yesterday, we decided to take a relaxing day and spend some time walking around La Paz. Of course, we had to get coffee and breakfast at Docecuarents first. Harvey and co. drove downtown to check out a market, while Mom decided to go for a long run along the water. Remy and Dad hopped in the car headed to a coffee shop in La Paz to wait for Mom. What better way to practice patience than by loading yourself up with caffeine and trying to sit still?
Mom arrived and we had a quick snack before walking along the Malecon. We stopped at a small boardgame store to look around (everything was in Spanish), and then hiked up from the Malecon to our car.
Back at the hotel we headed down to the pool for a dip in the water. Dad and Remy practiced some treading water (Remy's record was just over 60 seconds) and Mom caught up on her reading.
We got our fill of the pool and then dressed to head into town for dinner. Mom had found a very cool rooftop bar where we could watch the sun set over the Bay of La Paz. We had drinks and appetizers, danced a little, and then went for a walk.
On our way back to the car we ran into an old coworker of Maria's who lives in La Paz. She knew we were in town but we hadn't made any plans to meet up. Very coincidental!
