R&R in Utah - Day 2

Even less excitement today. We drove the whole day. I think we left just before 9am and arrive in Salt Lake City just after 7. At some point the temperature shifted from 50 degrees to 75 degrees. The weather was once again very pleasant, and the drive was uneventful. No carsickness on this leg. Thank you to Oregon, Idaho, and Utah for making their highways very straight.

Salt Lake City is very pleasant to look at, especially coming in from the north. The buildings are all low, which provides an ample view of the mountains surrounding the city no matter where you are standing. We didn’t see much of the lake, but I have heard from several sources that it is salty.

We set up camp in a good friend’s driveway, said hello to her dog Scoobie, and called it a night. Stay tuned for an extra helping of adventure tomorrow as Dad attempts to work all day while sitting on patio furniture!
