Cerritos beach is about 15 minutes from our house, and is a great place for playing in the sand. It has much finer sand grains (great for sand castles), and it also has much tamer waves for flopping around in the water. We like to make the drive once a week to get some alternative beach time in.

Before heading to the beach we stopped at Doce Cuarenta for breakfast and coffee made four different ways!
Our good friend Frodo has been accompanying us on our beach trips when his schedule allows. He didn't make the trip to Cerritos but he did come to the local beach for our evening trip.
