Being a family of science, we have utilized all of our information gathering techniques to make a determination that it is colder in Oregon than it is in California. This has not stopped the dogs from getting up early and wanting to go outside unfortunately. Dad started his day off with a walk in the beach woods with the dogs. The Oregon coast has some very interesting forests right next to the beach which makes for some very interesting walks. Dad discovered this mushroom, and based on the scientific evidence gathered at the arcade last week (we only utilize primary sources), eating it should make him bigger and stronger.
Mom and Remy spent the morning at the aquarium where they got face to face with some leopard sharks and quite a few other fishy friends.
After work we did a bit of biking. Remy decided that regular old biking wasn't going to cut it and that the only path for him was the path to the faerie kingdom. Faeries build really nice trails.
Post bike ride we headed to the beach for some dog exercise. We saw a very large fishing vessel floating near the jetty and couldn't quite determine what it was doing. The wind was picking up and it seemed to be getting alarmingly close to the rocks. Eventually it headed out past the safety of the jetty and into the open ocean. We waved goodbye while the dogs engaged in their usual beach activity of pummeling each other. Roz even did a very cool skidding wipeout right through Mom's legs.
For dinner we had Dad's favorite, tamales. It started to rain (is that what water from the sky is called?!?) And then we played board games before bed. What a night!
